New Interior for 89H

Our Skylane just came back from Sierra Aircraft Interiors in Smoketown where it had a complete interior make-over.  Roberto Abarca, who operates the shop, did a skillful and beautiful job.

We now have very plush high-end carpet with sewn in heel pads.

High-end vinyl that feels exactly like leather trim the door panel and complement the seats.  No more cheap plastic trim.  The arm rests are actual leather.

Notice the heater vent at the rear of the carpeted side panel.  No more cheap-looking metal grill.

Close-up of front pilot seat and door.  Pilot seat is 2" wider than co-pilot seat for more pilot comfort.

Rear seats are more padded and contoured, offering a "bucket seat" feel for passenger comfort.  New matching head rests were constructed.

Luggage area has plush carpet with leather-like side walls.  All carpet is professionally bound on edges.  Carpet on rear deck was sectioned for easy access to tail cone.

New leather-like high-grade vinyl with storage pockets replace original plastic backs on rear seats.

Overhead, side columns, and window frames are finished in micro-leather with leather-like coverings for inserts in a complementary color that matches the side panels.
The broken rear air vents were replaced with new ones which open and close and can be aimed as desired.

Rear intercom jacks and music input jack were moved from under the arm rests to a more convenient position.

The interior was done by Roberto Abarca of Sierra Aircraft Interiors, at the Smoketown Airport in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
